What’s better than GPS on your wrist?
GPS on your wrist with batteries that work!
Best battery life of any GPS watch out there! Read on for more info as to why I love it…
Garmin Forerunner 310XT
Grips
- 20+ hour battery life
- Multiple customizable screens
- Wireless ANT (Antenna) communication with computer
- Virtual partner (described below)
- Water proof
Gripes
- It doesn’t make my breakfast 🙂
- Does not track as well while swimming
Bottom Line
Seriously, this is the best GPS watch in existence. I used the Garmin Forerunner 305 for many years, but the max battery life is about 8 hours. I was losing the last end of any long activity, such as mountain climbing or long distance bike races. Now I can climb for nearly 24 hours and it will track the entire time! I love that it has multiple screens that you can customize for any activity you want to do. Then just scroll through for your biking, or running, or climbing screen. It also has a virtual partner where you can assign a goal pace and you can tell how far or behind your virtual partner you are. There have been complaints that it does not track well while swimming, but I would not expect any GPS to pick up well submerged under a couple feet of water. That said, this thing is water proof, so wear it during the most inclement weather! I honestly cannot find anything that I don’t like about this watch!
