Why would you want speakers so loud that it hurts?
Cause it’s awesome!
I have 2 of these loudspeakers as the main front channels in my home theater. The sound quality that they pump out is absolutely astounding. They are rated up to 440 watts, but I only pump 120 watts through them and they can get so loud it hurts. It doesn’t matter how loud I turn the volume up, the sound is crystal clear. Also, with each speaker having a pair of 8 inch woofers my home theatre could easily get away without a separate sub-woofer, though it certainly will not :).

- They are large so it will be a challenge fitting a big wooden entertainment center in my living room when I go to buy one.
Bottom Line
I absolutely love the JBL ES90’s and would definitely buy them again.
